Opera Madama Butterfly at St John’s Smith Square - London City Philharmonic and Disrupt events

Puccini Opera Madama Butterfly

St John’s Smith Square SW1P 3HA

One of opera's most enduring tales of unrequited love. Puccini's touching score follows the tragic tale of Cio Cio San, a young Japanese girl, who falls in love with American naval officer Pinkerton, with devastating consequences.

The London City Philharmonic, known for their innovative events across London, brings Madama Butterfly to life in two performances featuring the up-and-coming talents of tomorrow. With captivating melodies redolent of the Far East, Puccini's opera blends Italian passion with Japanese elegance, creating an emotional experience sure to draw tears.
